What a privilege is it is be called “mom.”
As a mother your presence matters. Most things that we do and sacrifice as a mom will never be truly known by others. Only God truly knows how each of us have had to surrender to the selflessness that it takes to give deeply and love fully. Although there is notoriety from the world of the importance of mothers, all human acknowledgment (included your spouse and kids) are just glimpses compared to the gratitude, the joy, and the understanding that comes from our Heavenly Father.
On this Mother’s day, I want you to be so aware of how much God loves you and cares for you. I want you to know you are never a burden to him. I want you to know that He is so patient with you. When you feel like you missed it or could do better, know that His thoughts are kind and full of grace toward you. To those who have lost a mother or lost a child, I am thinking about the void in your heart— the one that never goes away but that God fills daily for you. For those waiting to be a mom, I am thinking about your longing and about the day that the fulfillment of your desire comes to pass.
No matter who we are, as a woman, we are each called to be a nurturer to those around us. As a woman, your feminine heart is important and needed. Don’t under value what God has chosen for you. Happy Mother’s Day today & every day!
Love you,
